Solving Issues - Introduction

Listing of Issues & Support Resources

When all is said and done, what is it to be politically involved if it isn't about solving issues?  And what are issues really?

Defined here, issues are the problems that deeply and profoundly affect people's lives in an adverse way if they aren't solved.  Consider the consequences of Climate Change as an 'Issues' example, or the unaffordablity of health care for a large amount of Americans.  But, in this moment, by a tiny act of having the courage to see what the Issues are, you can get involved with baby steps or take a leadership role, to help find solutions to vital issues.  All of us, coming together, can with one voice say "Yes We Can!"

We can make the difference.  We can personally choose to empower our county and our country to thrive in health, peace, and prospertity by becoming involved. We the people of the United States of America - We CAN Solve The Issues!

Read and learn the facts that are posted in this site, call, email, or come on down to our local office (contact information).  We have no expectations of you - just come be with us.  Tell us what you think, what your interests and concerns are - we will support you in your effort to be involved.

If you are a local organization working to solve an issue, please, let us know about your group so that we can list you as a resource.  Or if you are interested in joining a group, or forming one, contact us so that we can be of assistance to you.  Please contact Allen Hallmark at chair@jcdemocrats.org

Regarding developing the Issues web site section: We need unbiased, indisputably factual, extremely well documented writing for the Issues section of our website.  This is not an opinion section.  The intent of the Issues section is to provide the highest level of journalist fact checking and information provision for its readers.  If you would like to contribute content on a particular issue, please contact our communications chair, Linda Sturgeon at communicationschair@charter.net.  Content will need approval.  Not a writer?  We need researchers, content editors, proof readers, web developers (database, html, php), and people who would be interested in upkeep of this area of the web site (will train committed volunteers). And we need ideas!  Join an Issues think tank, or form one.  We also need help advertising the web site itself - there's tons of little and big things - something for everyone as you'd like to be involved.  And every one is needed, so, don't think someone else can do it better or that we can't use your help - we really need everyone involved to come together in unity, in one voice of "Yes We Can".  Thank you!

We, the Jackson County Democratic Party are here to empower you, personally and as a collective voice, to speak and work for the rights and needs of all people in our county and beyond.
