THESE ORGANIZATIONS NEED YOUR HELP-PLEASE DONATE

Help your communicty by contributing what you can, but also by asking your neighbors, family, co-workers and friends to give! Consider organizing a collection drive. Please remember monetary donations are always welcome to these organizations! Checks should be made payable to the individual groups:
The Veteran’s Health Administration Facility, White City: Phone Cards (About 30 minutes per card – Dollar Tree has 35 minute cards for $1), Lap Blankets or Afghans, Magazines/Books, Treats (cookies, fresh fruit, candies, cakes and pies-no cream or filled), Men’s and Women's Socks and Undergarments (New-white, all sizes. Men-boxers or briefs), Toiletries, Postage Stamps and Stationery. The VA is looking for angels who can donate electric wheelchairs. Volunteer opportunities are needed for an upcoming project in the spring and year round.

Southern Oregon Humane Society: Due to the economy, the SOHS has delayed plans to move into a new facility. Therefore, they need an angel who can donate enough gravel to repair their current facility's driveway. They also need Diamond Brand Dog and Cat Food (available at The Grange Co-Op), KMR-Kitten Milk Replacement, cat/dog toys and treats. Volunteers are always needed and must attend an orientation meeting prior to working with the SOHS.

Salvation Army: The JCDP's own Jeff Cheek has worked to collect donations of non-perishable food and clean/gently used or new clothing for our local Salvation Army. We will continue working with Jeff to collect warm clothing and food donations over this weekend and throughout the year!

CATS (Committed Alliance to Strays): CATS, a shelter for abandoned or stray felines, has seen a huge increase in the number of abandoned pets. They attribute this to the rise in home foreclosures and economic hardships for pet owners. They need us to collect the following: Science Diet cat food, KMR-kitten milk replacement formula (dry or powdered), cotton pads (please, no cotton balls), rabbit pellets, Clorox Bleach, paper towels.
CATS has been helping families keep their pets through tough times by supplying with donated cat food brands that they are not able to use (they only use Science Diet). Therefore, if you have other brands that you would like to donate, they will donate it to those in need for you! Volunteer opportunities are available.
We will be posting donation requests and volunteer opportunities we receive from our community on our website and in the office throughout the year. Check back often to see how you can help! Thank you for your time and generosity!
