The National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week - Sending An Expression of Appreciation to Our Veterans at the White City VA

Valentines For Veterans:  The week of February 9 is "The National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week"  The Jackson County Democratic Party invites everyone to join us as we collect Valentine cards and treats to be delivered to our Veterans at the White City VA facility.

You may either purchase or make your own valentines cards. On the envelope, simply write “Happy Valentine's Day", "To a Veteran" or  leave it blank.

Inside the card, please sign your name (first and last or just first, do not add any personal information, i.e. phone number or address). You may also add a "Thank You", "Best Wishes" or other appropriate message inside the card.

If you would like to make or buy candies, cookies or treats (no cream filled pies or cakes), we will insure their delivery along with the cards.

James Cunningham, Voluntary Service Specialist at White City, said that homemade cookies are fine and a welcome treat. Please divide and wrap homemade items in individual portions, this makes distribution easy for the VA staff.
