As you know most people who live in manufactured home parks are either low income and/or on a fixed income. At the present time, the State of Oregon allows landlords of these parks to raise the rent any amount, as long as they give a 90 day notice.
Peter Ferris, Executive Director and Lobbyist, Oregon Manufactured Homeowners United (OMHU), has submitted a proposal to tie the rent raises to the Comsumer Price Index. We are very excited to report that Rep. Peter Buckley agreed to be chief sponsor of this bill (HB3196).
