"All kids should grow up free from fear of intimidation and harassment at school.
By strengthening school anti-bullying policies, we can make Oregon schools safer, stronger and more secure."

- Representative Sara Gelser
House Education Committee Chair

This week, our legislators have a chance to reduce bullying and harassment in Oregon schools.

House Bill 2599, which passed with bipartisan support in the House Education Committee, proposes effective programs that can cut bullying in half and make our schools safer for all children. Legislators will vote on the bill this week.

Send a message to your legislators TODAY
encouraging them to vote YES on HB 2599:

Above all else, schools should be safe. Yet too many Oregon students are subject to bullying, harassment and violence while on school property. These actions can have physical, emotional and academic effects for both the perpetrator and victim - including decreased interest in school, increased absences, depression, anxiety, loneliness, and low self-esteem.

Take action! Send a message to your legislators today: http://eqfed.org/campaign/SaferSchools.

Tell your leaders that youth can't wait for protection from bullying in Oregon schools.

Standing with you for children,

Dana Hepper
Statewide Advocacy Director
