>> Take Action to Insure 80,000 Oregon Kids

Dear friend,

Funding for Oregon’s health care system is in jeopardy. Especially during this economic crisis, this cannot be ignored. Costs are rising at an alarming rate, and one in six Oregonians does not have health insurance - and 80,000 of the uninsured are children.

But there is hope on the horizon.

Oregon legislators are considering a proposal to cover thousands of new families under the Oregon Health Plan. We need to encourage them to support these proposals to insure Oregon's children!

Contact your legislator today:
http://www.stand.org/healthcarealert

Ask them to provide health coverage for 80,000 uninsured children and their families.

Everyone's going to have to come to the table to provide health coverage for these children - hospitals, insurance companies and others will all need to work with legislators to craft a solution. If they do, Oregon can raise enough revenue to secure a billion dollars in federal health care funding for the Oregon Health Plan. Send your legislators a message today: http://www.stand.org/healthcarealert .

Oregon's children deserve health coverage - and they need you to be their voice.
