Forest Service has awarded $3 million in contracts that will employ 150 people in Southern Oregon.

Thanks to President Obama's stimulus package, the United States Forest Service has awarded $3 million in contracts that will employ 150 people in Southern Oregon.  The jobs will focus on reducing wildfire danger.  $1.4 million will go to the Hope Mountain Stewardship Project.  Grayback Forestry has been awarded two contracts totaling $925,000.  Diamond Fire received two contracts totaling about $580,000.

Greyback President Mike Wheelock said:  "This is definitely a shot in the arm.  After being faced with cutbacks, this is real uplifting for everybody in the company."
