Dear Friends of Citizens for Peace & Justice,
We have decided to move the date of our CPJ Film Nite from the usual 1st Thursday to the 4th Thursday this month only, so that CPJ Film Nite can be one of the events of Independent Media Week. Most of the other events will take place in Ashland, but we want to be sure at least one event will take place in Medford and with CPJ sponsorship.
So CPJ Film Nite with a film yet to be designated will be held at 7 pm Thursday, April 23rd, in Lidgate Hall, Medford Congregational United Church of Christ, 1801 E. Jackson St., Medford (just up the hill from Hedrick Middle School).
Here are all the CPJ events for April:
-Thursday, April 9th, 4:30 to 5:30 pm, Stand for Peace, in front of the Josephine County Courthouse, 500 NW 6th St., Grants Pass. Bring a sign or use one of ours and witness for peace for an hour. It's fun and good for you!
-Thursday, April 16th, 6:30 pm, CPJ Regular Monthly Business Meeting, Lidgate Hall, Medford Congregational United Church of Christ, 1801 E. Jackson St. Join us and help us organize for peace.
-Thursday, April 23rd, 4:30 to 5:30 pm, Stand for Peace, in front of the Josephine County Courthouse, 500 NW 6th St., Grants Pass. An organizing meeting follows the 4th Thursday Stand for Peace in the basement of the annex to the Newman United Methodist Church, kitty-corner from the courthouse.
-Thursday, April 23rd, 7 pm, CPJ Film Nite, film by or about independent news media, one of the events of Independent Media Week, Lidgate Hall, MCUCC.
-Saturday, April 25th, 12 noon to 1 pm, Rally for Peace, Rogue Valley Mall perimeter, on sidewalk along Crater Lake Highway north of the Shell gas station in Medford.
