Jackson County Oregon League of Conservation Voters team Invites you to dine Weds April 22 Earth Day - 10% to OLVC to elect pro environment candidates (Posted 04/18/09)

The Jackson County Chapter of the Oregon League of Conservation Voters has run volunteer voter contact efforts in support of Dave Gilmour, Peter Buckley, Alan Bates, Lynn Howe and Jim Olney. Please join us in enjoying the great food at these local restaurants while supporting your local OLCV.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Earth Day in style by dining out at Geppetto’s, Greenleaf and Mihama’s and supporting the Oregon League of Conservation Voters Jackson County Chapter at the same time.

Dine Out for the Earth is a partnership in which locally owned restaurants donate 10 percent of their sales on Earth Day, Wednesday April 22nd, to the OLCV Jackson County Chapter. That money will fund our work to elect pro-environment candidates, hold elected officials accountable, and protect Jackson County ’s unique natural beauty.

Geppetto’s is an Ashland icon. Greens grown on their own farm make for the freshest meal in town. To celebrate Earth Day, Geppetto’s will be selling its world famous wantons for only five dollars per order (classic spinach and new banana.) Visit Geppetto’s for lunch with friends or coworkers. Open on Earth Day, 8 a.m. to midnight, 345 E. Main St .

Overlooking Lithia Creek, Greenleaf offers a diverse menu of healthy food, including fresh baked goods, natural meats, and the tastiest vegetarian eats in town. Greenleaf has been supporting our community for 25 years. Open on Earth Day 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on the plaza, 49 N. Main St .

Mihama’s Teriyaki Grill offers affordable Japanese cuisine. Tasty, freshly prepared food has made Mihama’s a local favorite since 1989. Enjoy a night out with the family at Mihama’s.
Open on Earth Day 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., 1253 Siskiyou Blvd. , across from SOU.

Please thank these great establishments for their commitment to the environment with your patronage on Earth Day and every day.
