Stand For Children Medford School Board Endorsements
Based on their experience, passion, and understanding of the issues, the Endorsement Committee and Medford members have endorsed Paulie Brading, Jeff Thomas, Tricia Prendergast, and Sally Killen.

  • Paulie Brading has excellent communication skills, and will continue to be an asset to the Board as it works to improve transparency and citizen involvement in school board processes. Paulie has been a strong voice of dissent for continued funding of Instructional Coaches in elementary schools, and supports other positions important to Stand members including concrete ideas for increasing instructional time for students.
  • Jeff Thomas has experience, commitment to issues important to Stand for Children members (such as school autonomy, improving transparency, and student wellness) and the ability to hit the ground running. Jeff will also bring another business background to the Board, important in the tough times ahead.
  • Tricia Prendergast brings years of service, advocacy at the State level, and efforts to improve communication in the school district. Tricia understands issues important to Stand members, including that renewal of the elementary Instructional Coach program is doubtful given the current fiscal constraints.
  • Sally Killen is passionate, experienced, and committed to improving the Medford school district. Sally’s knowledge and experience are only topped by her excellent interpersonal skills which will again be an asset to the board as it works to improve communication with all patrons. Her positions are consistent with Stand objectives for improving teacher and principal quality, school autonomy, advocacy of the state legislature, and improving district accountability and transparency.
