Greetings Jackson County Democrats,

This Saturday, May 23rd the Archimedes Movement & Oregon Action are hosting a Health Reform Advocacy Workshop in Medford from 10am-2pm at the public library and I wanted to extend you an invitation. The workshop will be a great opportunity to learn the tools of how to move the message, speak on health reform, and influence elected leaders. We're teaming up to provide this opportunity to hone people's skills and maximize their effectiveness as an advocate.
It would be a great help if you all could spread the word to any Jackson County Dems in the area as we'd love to have a diverse audience.

Event will be separated into three areas of focus:

  1. How to lobby for health reform: how the legislative process works, how to establish a relationship with your legislator, how to get your message heard.
Speaker: Jo Ann Bowman, Exec. Director at Oregon Action.
  2. Moving the message - key persuasion tools. How you can you appeal to your audiences' values, hearts and minds.
Speaker: Courtney Dillard Ph.D., Persuasion for the Common Good.
  3. What we mean when we say "health reform?"
Speaker: Liz Baxter, Exec. Director at The Archimedes Movement.
Any help to spread the word would be greatly appreciated as we would love to have a diverse crowd and lively workshop.
