The Jackson County Democratic Party will host a special non-partisan presentation.  A panel of subject area experts will discuss environmentally-friendly housing.   A question and answer session will follow the discussion. 

In 2008, the average American spent $5,500 on energy.  Heating and cooling costs account for about one-half of a home’s energy bill.  Households that replace existing equipment with energy efficient products can reduce their energy bills by 30%.  There are numerous incentive programs that encourage green home building and green upgrades to existing homes...(continued)
