EXPLANATION OF SLATE CARDS

Think "door hanger."  That's usually what a slate card is.  This is the same except we're not going door to door.

This slate card is from Jackson County Democratic Party.  It lists all party-endorsed candidates and ballot measures (of which there's only one).

Policy of JCDems is not to take sides when two or more Democrats are running for the same position.  That's why two Democrats are listed for some positions.  Please note that some Democrats choose not to accept an endorsement.  That explains why some candidates are not listed on the slate card.  ​
